Clean between teeth every day before toothbrushing for oral health and fresh breath! If you have space, use an interdental brush but there are many other tools for cleaning the surfaces that your toothbrush can’t reach. If you haven’t cleaned between before or for a while your gums might bleed – this is because the gum between the teeth has become inflamed from the bacteria that have been left undisturbed. Regular interdental cleaning will improve gum health – you should be able to clean between without any bleeding but it might take a couple of weeks for bleeding to completely stop. Healthy gums don’t bleed. If your gums keep bleeding contact your dental team for advice.
