Hyaluronan – the active ingredient in Gengigel  naturally occurs in the body where it helps control inflammation and promotes wound healing.

Genegiel has a special mucoadhesive action which helps the hyaluronic acid to firmly attach to the soft tissues of the mouth and provides a protective layer/barrier over wound and inflamed areas. Gengigel is widely recommended by dental professionals to promote healing.

If the soft tissues of your mouth are sore or ulcerated use a soft toothbrush and interdental brushes to clean with a non foaming toothpaste. This will help reduce irritation. Eat healthily and drink plenty of water. When your mouth is dry the soft tissue becomes fragile and can be traumatised more easily.  Using a special interdental gel on your interdental brushes can help reduce inflammation – the gum between teeth is often the first place to become inflamed .

Any ulcer, red or white patch in your mouth that does not heal after 3 weeks should be investigated – speak to your dentist or doctor. If you use tobacco and alcohol this greatly increases your risk of mouth cancer – check your mouth regularly – find out here.

How to use: Rinse for 1-2 minutes with 10mls 3-4 times per day.
