Orthodontic treatment can take some time. Start out with the mindset that you will need TIME to look after your mouth throughout treatment. This orthodontic brace care kit  has all you need to get your mouth healthy from day one – learn the basics here

Use a good (high) fluoride toothpaste which will help protect teeth and gums. Brush thoroughly night and morning and clean between teeth everyday. Use an alcohol free fluoride mouth rinse at a different time to brushing.

Depending on the type of treatment you are having you may want to look at the care of removable appliance, aligners and retainers.

You will need an appliance brush to get into all the nooks and crannies around your appliance – a toothbrush is unlikely to reach. We suggest this one that looks like a giant toothbrush from TePe or this Curaprox brush.
