This special toothbrush has soft filaments in two rows, an extra narrow brush head and a long, thin neck, which facilitates access and cleaning close to implants and orthodontic wires.
Implants need special brushing attention. This brush improves access around the gum and implant. Vibrate the bristle tips toward the gum crevice where it meets the implant/tooth. Taking time to clean implants thoroughly is key to long term stability and health. 2 minutes is the minimum required to clean with complex dental work in the mouth. Take the time and watch where the bristles are placed in a mirror with good lighting.
Tips & advice about TePe Universal Care™
Wearing a fixed orthodontic appliance (train track braces) makes it very difficult to effectively clean above and below the wire. Use this brush to clean around where the gum and tooth meet above the wire and below the wire to clean the remaining tooth surface and brace. Use brush dry and brush above the wire then go around below the wire. Take time to clean each tooth surface. Then repeat with a pea sized blob of fluoride toothpaste. Spit out after brushing – don’t rinse to get the maximum benefit from the fluoride toothpaste. 2 minutes is the minimum required to clean with complex dental work in the mouth. Take the time and watch where the bristles are placed in a mirror with good lighting.
