Hyaluronan – the active ingredient in Gengigel\u00a0 naturally occurs in the body where it helps control inflammation and promotes wound healing.<\/p>\n

Genegiel has a special mucoadhesive action which helps the hyaluronic acid to firmly attach to the soft tissues of the mouth and provides a protective layer\/barrier over wound and inflamed areas. Gengigel is widely recommended by dental professionals to promote healing.<\/p>\n

If the soft tissues of your mouth are sore or ulcerated use a soft toothbrush and interdental brushe<\/a>s to clean with a non foaming toothpaste<\/a>. This will help reduce irritation. Eat healthily and drink plenty of water<\/a>. When your mouth is dry the soft tissue becomes fragile and can be traumatised more easily.\u00a0 Using a special interdental gel<\/a> on your interdental brushes can help reduce inflammation – the gum between teeth is often the first place to become inflamed .<\/p>\n

Any ulcer, red or white patch in your mouth that does not heal after 3 weeks should be investigated – speak to your dentist or doctor. If you use tobacco and alcohol this greatly increases your risk of mouth cancer – check your mouth regularly – find out here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
