Description

Curasept ADS 212  is the current alternative to Curasept Perio Gum mouthwash which will not be available again until autumn 22. It slows down plaque build up, reduces pain and helps with bleeding, inflamed gums (Gingivitis), gum disease (Periodontitis) and trauma to gums and soft tissues in the mouth e.g. ulcers. 200mls

Curasept ADS 212 (Anti Discolouration System) is an anti-bacterial mouthwash, containing a patented, clinically tested system which drastically reduces chlorhexidine (CHX) staining on the teeth and taste distortion. It contains 0.12% chlorhexidine digluconate,  an antimicrobial which works by reducing the amount of bacteria (germs) in the mouth and helps reduce swelling, redness and bleeding gums. It is not an alternative to effective regular tooth brushing and flossing or interdental brushing but can help reduce inflammation. Use at a different time to toothbrushing or as advised by your dental professional or Growing Smiles coach.

Healthy gums don’t bleed! Gums bleed as a response to the bacterial plaque biofilm on the teeth and gums. Thorough daily cleaning( between teeth and around the gum line) should improve this. Expect bleeding initially but keep going! You should start to notice less bleeding in a couple of weeks. If you are cleaning thoroughly every day  with an interdental cleaning aid (flossing/brushes etc) and a toothbrush and your gums continue to bleed seek advice from your dental team.

Using a mouthwash is in addition to effective plaque biofilm removal with interdental cleaning and toothbrushing not an alternative to physical plaque removal when possible. .
